Have you ever wanted to grow your own food but didn’t know how?

If you said yes, this is the program for you!

The Container Garden Program is designed to teach community members and families how to connect back to the food they are eating by growing it themselves. The workshops are free, we provide all the materials to start and maintain your own garden at home in pots. Pots allow for easy care and are great because of their ability to be mobile and they take up little space. Caring and nurturing a plant, watching it grow and eventually preparing it for dinner is one of the most fulfilling things one can be a part of and it is such a great activity for families to do together.

Within this program we offer 6 workshops throughout the year, each workshop consists of 3 classes. We require and encourage participants to attend all 3 classes in the workshops, since they build off of one another.

Classes are from 9am-11am, except the third class which is a time for us to come together and share. We encourage people to stay and talk story over food and get to know their fellow community members during this class.

All materials to start your container gardens are free, no need to bring anything except a good attitude and smile!

Workshops at a Glance:

Class 1: Philosophy behind growing your own food and planting in your containers to take home.

Class 2: Learn about fertilizers and plant needs, make your own organic pesticides.

Class 3: Harvesting techniques and cooking class on how to incorporate what you are growing at home into easy and healthy recipes.
